was suppose to wake up at 7am to go to Busch Gardens at Tampa but everyone was too tired!
so me and charmaine decided to get all the admin stuff settled at the HR bulding and headed out to Ripley's Believe It Or Not.
There's so many things to see!!!
And everything's just amazing.
Some even scary. LOL.
From the miniature guns that really work to shrunken heads and fertility dolls,
you'll be amazed by the collection Ripley has!
And to think there was a guy who spent his entire life trying to prove Ripley wrong.
LOL.
After the visit,
we got hungry and made a trip to the Ponderosa Steak House 7 stops away.
it was YUMMY!!!!
buffet was full of varieties and the main course was really good.
and the meal only cost like USD12+.
so that was one dinner worth paying for. ;)
With a full stomach we headed down to Prime Outlets
and walked stright into Victoria's Secret.
LOL.
they're having a semi-annual sale now
and everything's so cheap!
thing is the sizes are really hard to find.
But Charmaine sure enjoyed herself shopping in there.
LOL.
I got some cosmetics and went to check out the Coach outlet.
so many bags i wanted to get but Char said the price would probably go down or the 4th July sale.
:( so we're gonna wait for the sale to start before deciding on which bag to splurge on.
in the end, i went to Tommy Hilfiger and bought a big tote bag so i don't have to carry my sling bag out anymore.
:D
how can we go home empty handed when we're all the way out to Prime?!
so yeah,
that was one long day.
and it's back to work!
and

went to bank in my pay cheque and bought tickets to visit St. Augustine and Kennedy Space Centre.
then headed to Publix supermarket to buy yet another mobile phone.
LOL.
the phones here are so cheap they are almost worthless.
hahahaha.
so now i have 3 mobile phones with me.

Then i went to Premium Outlet Mall to "look around".
but everything was so cheap i just couldn't resist buying something back.
would have bought more if i had not reminded myself that my next pay cheque only comes in this friday.
LOL.
so i bought my first Coach product here!
nice wristlet at great price too! ;)

Then i came back home and started cooking.
My first dish in USA!
And it's fried rice!
it's so yummy i couldn't help but have a bigger serving.
hahahaha.

Oh, and here are the two nicest people in Happy Harbor, Seaworld. :)
Can already left for San Francisco on Monday and now Lulu left for Seaport Theatre. :(
Good thing i still have MW and Yilin.
Hopefully the new batch of international students are nice too.
I've onl seen China people so far.
but my friend says she met alot of Taiwanese and HongKongers.
Please send them here soon!
don't like the feeling of being outnumbered by the Americans.

was at work yesterday.
and as usual,
it started to rain in the afternoon.
so me and singaporean friend Eileen hid under one of the sheltered rides and was glad we got a break from work since all rides are closed.
then we started seeing other collegues running into the office
and we thought "why are they running?"
but just brushed it off as them wanting to slack off in the back room.
LOL.
our lead then called us and told us to run into the back room asap and that's what we did.
only then did we find out we've reached 10-13 Black.
that means the tornado has touched down in orlando.
yes.
tornado.
2 of them in fact.
the other americans were pretty calm about it in the room while me and my friend were like "i don't wanna die here!"
haha.
hey, if you knew a tornado was near you,
you'd think that too.
:P
our lead even made an announcement for all guests in the park to find an enclosed building to hide in.
and the only enclosed areas in our area are the baby care , first aid and the restrooms.
so alot of them were squished into the restrooms.
and a lady in the baby care was like "are we gonna die?!?!"
Thank God nothing happened and the storm went away.
so we started going back to work after 1.5 hrs of hiding.
i definitly do not want to experience it in the time that i'm here.
another thing happened yesterday too.
my friend working in the same area told me she's been transferred out.
just because she turned around while operating a ride and saw the supervisor.
haix.
and there are so many old timers who use their mobiles while operating rides.
these asses get away with it while the minor offenders get transfered out.
is that like racist or what?
then again,
she's transferred to an air-con area.
which is so much better.
more slack.
the only bad thing is she doesn't get to work long hours.
which i think is not that bad after all.
well, everything happens for a reason.
all we gotta do is trust in Him. :)
Lulu, i hope you'll be happy there. :)

spoke to my thai friend today and found out many sad things.
he's been suffering here and it's partly 'cause he can't speak english very well.
many americans think they know it all.
like the world is only america?
they think we're the frog in the well.
but here's the newsflash -
they are the ones who've been living in a cave.
typical conversation with an american...
me: it's a hot day, huh?
american: yeah. where are you from?
me: singapore.
american: oh singapore!
me: do you know where that is?
american: yeah, it's near China right?
me: no! we're nearer to indonesia than China.
american: oh! but what language do you speak back home? Chinese?
me: we speak english. that's our 1st language.
american: no! really? you speak english?!
it surprises them that there is an asian country that speaks english as their first language.
so tell me who's been living in their own world.
then again,
there are some who are really nice too.
well,
actually the really nice ones i've met are from puerto rico and venezuela.
so they don't really count as americans either.
LOL.
i just hope my thai friend is finally happy now that it is already his last day.
no more suffering from the racist bunch.
haix.
tt's life for you.
then again,
you always gotta look at the bright side of things.
otherwise, u'd prob be miserable all ur life. ;)

one shopping trip and i spent like all of my entire first paycheck.
which is really pathetic in the first place.
cuz of the litlle hours that we worked for the first 5 days.
:P
anyways,
VS is so cheap here!
especilly their toiletries!
bought their famous Bare Essentials makeup products.
hopefully, it'll help improve my skin considering the sensitivity of my face.
:P
oh yeah,
i happen to be assigned to the same department as meiwei
and cuz we both are abt the same built and have long black hair,
alot of people tell us we look like twins.
so we went around telling everyone we're sisters.
hahaha.
and many believed!
when we said we're sisters,
they'd go "oh ya! no wonder ya'll look alike!"
hahahahaha.
old habits die hard.
what more can i say?
LOL.
and heard BIG news from bro.
congrats benji!
now u're a grown man.
LOL.
though i duno how it makes u more mature but still, woohoo~!
got to know many nice people here in orlando.
too bad the thais are leaving this week.
sad :(
they're really nice people!
and fun to talk to. :)
oh well,
heard the new group making their way here are taiwanese.
hopefully they're nice too.
;)
my roommate charmaine cooked dinner one night.
it was yummy!
think she's ready for marriage.
LOL.
had like grilled chicken and stir fry veges, bak kut teh and grilled fish.
she's quite a gd cook i must say. ;)
gtg prepare for another day of work.
cheers!
